Region I Honor Band Instructions.

1.    Record the audition in the order it is presented on the audition music. Have the student announce each section including the range he or she will play on the chromatic scale.

2.      Each tape/CD should contain 1 audition (excluding piccolo or percussion). Percussionists need to audition on 2 of the 3 instruments (snare, mallets, timpani).     Mark your recordings with a sticky note so the students remain anonymous (all state band students will automatically be selected, simply send in their scores or chair placement).   Fill out the audition worksheet and send in the recordings to:  Sheila Wipf, Freeman High School, Box 220, 101 S Wipf Street, Freeman, SD 57029
